TV and specials

[edit]

Does anyone want to help develop Draft:List of Tom and Jerry specials and Draft:List of Tom and Jerry TV series and Draft:List of awards received by Tom and Jerry into actual pages Fanoflionking

I don't think there's enough content yet to turn these drafts into their own new pages. It might be better to add these to the existing article. -- Pf1127

this is a big page about 90K i suject this to reduce the size if people help maybe we can turn these in suitable wikipeida pages. Fanoflionking

Wrong info under "Plot" section (repost cuz still hasn't been addressed)

Specifically, the following claim is inaccurate: "Despite their endless attacks on one another, [Tom and Jerry] have saved each other's lives every time they were truly in danger" except in The Two Mouseketeers and Blue Cat Blues. Nor is it true that the ending of The Two Mouseketeers was "uncharacteristically morbid." In fact, I can name three more shorts like The Two Mouseketeers where Tom dies at the end with no attempt by Jerry to try to save him. For example, in The Yankee Doodle Mouse, Jerry not only fails to save Tom but actually facilitates his death by tying Tom to rocket and watching him explode into fireworks. Tom meets a similar demise at the end of Safety Second. Finally, in Mouse Trouble, Tom ends up exploding himself and is seen floating in a cloud as an angel.

There might be more examples from the original run that I'm forgetting, but with 4 cartoons ending with Tom's death and 1 with Tom and Jerry both committing suicide (Blue Cat Blues), I think it's difficult to make the claim that they "saved each other's lives every time." I would suggest either adding in the 3 more exceptions I listed, or honestly just delete the sentence altogether because it's weird to make a sweeping claim about Tom and Jerry, only to qualify it with 5 exceptions to the rule. 69.42.5.192 (talk) 07:47, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There's a funny typo / spelling mistake: "entrees" as in the main course of a meal instead of the correct word "entries." 69.42.5.192 (talk) 08:02, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
